Once upon a time, in a land far away…
I bet that got your attention! It was kind of a land far away.
I got this idea in my head after a trip to Japan. I was traveling there to do a speaking engagement with the Naval MIS Department for the Asia Pacific Rim. From there I was spending time in Korea and Okinawa so it was a long trip.
Back in the day we were still packing full sized products to put in our suitcases and that’s what I did. Due to the high altitude of the flight, my big bottle of shampoo blew up and ripped right through my Ziploc. I can tell you, it was quite the mess when I opened my suitcase in my hotel room.
After spending a bunch of money for dry cleaning and laundry, along with the loss of a very expensive handbag – can you say “Chanel”? I got this idea in my head to create a solution for the problem of things blowing up in my suitcase or leaking in my backpack. This was over 25 years ago!
Bringing LuxePak™ to Life
With much consideration, including looking for something similar to what I had in mind on retail shelves, I pulled the trigger.
If I knew then what I know now, I would have saved a ton of money. Being self-taught on how to take a product from my head to the market, holy cow! If you haven’t been on that journey before, I am going to give you some good information on how to avoid some of the pitfalls I experienced.
I’m going to take you on the path of how we got started to where we are now. It’s been fun, frustrating, exciting, disappointing, laughable. I could go on and on with all the emotions. But, at the end of the day, we have a very cool and unique line of products and an agenda of where we are headed.
